A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Hyperion Planning Technical Lead to join our team in Dallas, Texas.

Position Functions or Responsibilities: Responsible for delivering solution-oriented applications utilizing the Hyperion Planning framework. Perform full lifecycle development of planning applications, including identification and documentation of business requirements, development of key business processes to support a Hyperion Planning application, business rules, Essbase calculations, system and user testing, data sourcing strategies, and data validation and support users with training and documentation. Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle and follow stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with Change Control processes. Analyze processes to monitor and control data integrity and quality. Communicate regularly with lead and other staff to provide project status updates and to ensure problems are recognized and addressed before they endanger the success of the project.
  • Bring consulting approach and problem-solving experience to the field
  • Lead and conduct discovery sessions/interviews/workshops to define business requirements and scope.
  • Conduct and document Fit/Gap analysis between delivered functionality in Hyperion and customer requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle Hyperion Planning
  • Configure the system to meet the desired business process requirements
  • Develop testing scenarios, test scripts and leading teams in unit, integration and acceptance testing
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer or end-user training
  • 100% Travel to Client locations in the continental U.S

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning Modules ( I.E. Workforce Planning, Capex Planning, Project Planning)
  • Experience with Hyperion Financials Reporting (HFR) and data integration tools (OBIEE, ODI, etc.)
  • Experience with EPMA enabled applications
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem solving/debugging skills
  • Experience with software full lifecycle methodology
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team.
  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision and flexible to participate as a team member with a willingness to help junior staff where needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication , active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Highly Organized and detailed oriented
  • Able to fully utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Adapt to projects quickly with a can-do attitude
  • Able to fill the role of a Hyperion Planning and Budgeting Lead
  • Work with Solution Architects and Project Managers to define right solution for the problem at hand
  • Application of interpersonal skills to build relationships with Client
  • Effective communications at project team level, meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Effective and persuasive written communication skills
  • Able to transfer knowledge by coaching, training and mentoring
  • Requires solid understanding of financial related processes and technologies, financial statement structures and budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ability to understand and translate a client's business, informational and process needs into solid Hyperion EPM solutions
  • Understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow development across multiple industries
  • Ability to advise clients on best practices in planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong project management skills

Job Level Specific Duties
• Works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant in the development of technical solutions of moderate complexity within consulting practice area.
• Develops solutions and strategies based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing infrastructure.
• Applies principles, concepts and techniques of skills in developing solutions and strategies.
• Regularly interacts with external customer and customer managers and identifies additional opportunities in customer organization.
• Begins to integrate multiple technologies and applications within a specific customer solution.
• Serves as a pre-sales support specialist through the development of materials and by presenting solutions to prospective clients as a subject matter expert.

Basic Qualifications: Hyperion Planning - minimum of five years' experience
Minimum of three full lifecycle implementations of Hyperion Planning
