A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Desktop Support person to join our team in Boston, MA.


Position Functions or Responsibilities: General:
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience
  • Motivated technician with proven troubleshooting skills
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Proven ability to learn from, and teach, peers and to research solutions independently.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers over the phone, in person and via email while providing excellent customer service.
  • Familiarity with workgroup and domain environments, and general networking troubleshooting
  • Workstation:
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with workstation hardware, including assembly, troubleshooting and components replacement.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of workstation operating systems: Windows 7, Win 8 & Win 10. Mac OS experience a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Operating System, file system and general workstation issues.
  • Experience with installing, managing and maintaining local and networked printers, including basic printer troubleshooting.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Office (versions 2010 and above, including O365), Internet Explorer, Symantec anti-virus applications, Windows Updates and printing utilities.
  • Ability to interface with Line-of-Business Application and Hardware vendor's technical support for level 1 troubleshooting.
  • Required Skills/Experience:
  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Symantec Anti-Virus, Executive support
  • Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Symantec PGP & Microsoft BitLocker (laptop encryption), Symantec DLO, Mac OS, BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite, Cisco VPN, Ghost, VMWare / Parallels, AirWatch smartphone setups & support, A+ Certification .

Basic Qualifications:
  • Required Skills/Experience:
  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Symantec Anti-Virus, Executive support
  • MAC Support experience preferred

This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA. Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered.
