About the role
In the role of Superintendent Environment, Radiation Health & Hygiene you will provide leadership and direction to a team of professionals on site at Olympic Dam. You will be responsible for the management of a range of monitoring programs and your teams' work delivery, as well as driving continuous improvement across the areas within your designation.
Reporting to the Head of HSE you will be leading a team of around a sixteen people who range from graduate level through to specialist and supervisory positions. You will work closely with other senior leaders and business partners throughout the operation to execute HSE owned tasks, as well as manage a variety of HSE related programs and ensure high standards are being achieved throughout the operation.
You will be someone who has a focus on sustainability, as well as being an effective communicator with the ability to establish and maintain a wide range of effective stakeholder relationships. At a minimum you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science, Environmental Science, Physics, HSE Management or a closely related field. You will have extensive previous experience in a similar role within the resources industry and have developed detailed knowledge of key concepts, theories and practices related to the control of risks within this environment. You will be a proven people leader who is influential, as well as being ERP and HSE systems savvy along with the ability to manage budgets and capital expenditure.
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 5/2 roster arrangement, with residential or FIFO options available.
Olympic Dam is located approximately 10 kilometres from Roxby Downs, a community of 3,500 people with an active and progressive community network. Roxby Downs is home to a variety of modern, well equipped housing, educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
