We are currently seeking Service Technicians to join the team at West Melbourne depot. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager , the successful candidate will be required to offer support to Bombardiers customers in solving maintenance issues and assisting with maintenance improvements.

Your key responsibilities will include the following:
  • Provision of technical advice, guidance and assistance to customers train drivers, maintenance technicians and other interested parties.
  • Provide support both in person and over the phone.
  • Other customer liaison regarding technical condition of vehicles.
  • Coordinating warranty work.
  • Fault reporting and analysis.
  • Assisting with technical audits on vehicle condition.
  • Identifying and implementing vehicle improvements.

It is expected you will have the following qualifications, experience and personal characteristics:
  • Trade qualified Mechanical/Electrical or Graduate Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in the testing and commissioning of trains.
  • Current drivers license.
  • Be able to understand the mechanical interface with electrical / electronic equipment.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of popular software applications an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Logical faultfinding approach and excellent problem solving skills.
