Job Description - The Project Management Office team manages IT projects to ensure completion on time, on budget, with quality and according to the original project scope. PMO publishes monthly and adhoc reports, presentation decks, dashboards and data extracts in order to communicate status and progress on IT projects to business stakeholders, IT senior management and the executive team. The PMO is also responsible for creating and maintaining project management procedures and the operation and usage of the MS Project Server application. The PMO primarily manages projects that drive the creation of IT solutions that increase revenue, operational efficiency and client satisfaction. However, the PMO also manages projects related to major IT infrastructure changes, IT operations (e.g. DRP testing) and occasionally other Corporate projects. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to succeed in a fast paced and rapidly changing work environment and be able to manage multiple high-priority tasks. They will have the proven ability to lead and develop a highly engaged and motivated team embodying our goals of service excellence, effective communication and thought leadership. They will need to manage a team whose success is dependent on collaboration with various teams within the company. This candidate will be a seasoned, mature and energetic professional who is passionate about driving quality and realizing efficiencies to take the PMO to the next level. Primary Responsibilities: Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the PMO Director is responsible for ensuring that the PMO: Project Management Office â€¢ Develops a PMO team that is innovative, proactive, collaborative and results driven, mentoring and coaching PMO team members to strengthen their ability to deliver.â€¢ Defines and establishes the PMO methodology and standards for all IT projects taking into consideration new approaches, tools, metrics, requirements, standards, guidelines, professional compliance items and emerging industry trends.â€¢ Manages compliance with the PMO methodology, ensuring all PMO and IT Team members are compliant and where appropriate, maintains their PMP certification.â€¢ Manages compliance and certifications for all tools and employees taking into consideration new requirements and emerging professional standards.â€¢ Proactively promotes the use of our technology and Portfolio Program Management approaches, tools, and disciplines to senior management, external clients and NA Planningâ€¢ Proactively works with different business partners, Product and Client Technology team to support the IT portion of business planning.â€¢ Manages the planning for projects including scope definition, time estimation, cost estimation, resource estimation, capacity planning and scheduling, quality measurement, and issue and risk management.â€¢ Provides input into the development of Business Cases, RFIs, RFPs, score cards and Product roadmaps as NA Execution and Reporting â€¢ Works with the PMs to help them deliver projects that achieve the planned scope, time, cost, resources, and quality and comply or exceed negotiated Service Levels and Service Level Agreements.â€¢ Manages the company project portfolio including monthly reporting of projects spend, reporting spend to finance and producing the IT dashboard.â€¢ Produces dashboards, metrics, reports, data extracts, slide decks that are accurate, communicative and timely. Qualifications: â€¢ University degree in a related field such as Business Management/Commerce, ManagementInformation Systems, Computer Science, or Equivalent Experience.â€¢ 10 years Project/Program Management experience, with at least 7 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, parallel projects and cross-functional teams, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.â€¢ Proven track record of teambuilding and relationship management (with both internal and external stakeholders).â€¢ Experience in managing and negotiating with 3rd party vendors.â€¢ PMP Certification is highly valued but not mandatory if the candidate has a successful track record in the management of IT projects.â€¢ Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.â€¢ Knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles is an asset. Requirements: â€¢ The Candidate must have or be able to obtain Reliability status security clearance granted by Government of Canada (CIISD, PWGSC); the security clearance application will be facilitated via our Company Security Officer (CSO) and is a mandatory requirement for the role.
