Job Description: This position is based in the region of Ottawa/Gatineau-the candidate must live in this area. As a successful candidate you will report to the General Sales Manager-Eastern Canada and will be responsible for selling and promoting products and services offered by the company in the designated territory. You will be responsible for prospecting new clients and opportunities and responding to the various calls for tenders and quotes. You will establish lasting relationships with diverse clientele including electrical contractors, general contractors, engineers, and end users. You will be responsible for completing these tasks: Prospecting new clients and opportunities according to the sales plan established for the territory Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including direct interaction with them Negotiating and closing sales/contracts according to company policies Responding to various calls for tenders and doing research on different sites Estimating costs following the assessment and interpretation of specifications provided by clients with the assistance of internal representatives Assessing the needs of customers, performing load calculations, promoting and selling products and services to meet clients' needs, and providing solutions to meet their requirements Submitting service offers to provide the best solutions to clients, including the marketing of all power generating products and services in accordance with standards and regulations Following up on proposals sent to clients and updating the database Maintaining and updating the database with all the information needed to process files Communicating relevant information to project management and engineering departments to facilitate the execution of work and projects Required Qualifications: A dynamic, positive, and convivial attitude Strong interpersonal skills to develop sustainable relationships with clients Solid written and oral communication skills in French and English (bilingual) Ability to work autonomously and strong organizational and planning skills Excellent negotiation skills, tact, diplomacy, and ability to adjust to a diverse clientele Ability to work under pressure on several cases simultaneously with fixed schedules College or university degree in a technical field, such as building services, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or any other relevant training or experience Capacity to read and understand electrical and/or mechanical plans and specifications Solid knowledge of the construction field and the public call-to-tender process Computer skills including Microsoft Office Driver's license (required) Technical knowledge in the field of generators and/or automotive and diesel mechanics would be an asset More Than Just a Competitive Salary Going to work should be engaging, stimulating and rewarding, but it should also help you fulfill your needs, and propel your future!
