Job Description:

Daikin is hiring a Commercial Sales Manager for Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces in Canada. The job would include:Adheres to Daikin's Code of Business Conduct, core values, policies, procedures and standards Meet or exceed customer recruitment targets for quantity of contractors and volume expectations. In conjunction with specified Daikin distributor or Applied REP customer, recruit mechanical contractors. Using VRV Pro program as guideline, establish contractor technical training schedules and business development plans. Provide back-up application and design support for VRV/LC design build opportunities. Ensure channel policy is upheld in responsible geography. Ensure Channel Partners qualify for inclusion under the guidelines in the VRV Pro Policy Coordinate field support functions such as training and technical support as needed. Provide product training for VRV Pro contractor's customers. To include becoming a trainer for all I&C classes Develop complete understanding of all aspects of VRV program. Coordinate activities when applicable between rep and distributor in support of VRV Pro and Design Build market. Provide product presentations to contractor and customer groups. Coordinate activities with Manager, Contractor Development Bachelors degree or equivalent, Degree in mechanical engineering preferred 5/10+ years of demonstrated leadership and customer relationship management experience in a technical sales and a specification oriented sales environment preferably in the HVAC (VRV/VRF) industry. 5/10+ years of experience in Quebec and/or Atlantic HVAC Market 5+ Years in project management 5+ Years of experience dealing with contractors Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Tool Knowledge: Ability to use design and equipment selection software as well as energy cost analysis tools. Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Product Knowledge: Complete understanding of VRV and Light Commercial product offerings Application and Design Knowledge: Ability to provide VRV and Light Commercial design and application assistance. Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability; Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; Aligns work with strategic goals. Diversity - Demonstrates knowledge of Daikin Project policies; Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educates others on the value of diversity; promotes a harassment-free environment; Builds a diverse workforce. Customer Relationship Management Systems: In depth knowledge and understanding of CRM systems. Able to manage current and future customer interaction within existing CRM system. Ability to use technology to organize, automate and synchronize sales activity. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Willing to travel
