Services, maintains, and/or builds mechanical and fluid power systems within the determined geographical location. Performs mechanical preventative
maintenance using the Maximo system.
Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task; evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plans projects so that safety is key, and reviews
preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.
Assembles, builds, retrofits, and integrates mechanical and fluid power systems for new machine applications using Cummins Production Equipment
Specifications and applicable international standards.
Diagnoses mechanical and fluid power problems and performs repairs and/or modifications through consulting blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as
Collaborates with engineers to inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Records and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences; records time and material expended on work orders.
Follows manufacturer's recommended preventative maintenance schedules and startup procedures.
Prepares or follows blueprints; notes modifications to blueprints to document equipment modifications.
Performs precision alignment on production or test equipment.
Communicates technical information to customers regarding projects.
Repairs, replaces, and reassembles defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools.
Assembles, installs, and repairs wiring electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, and machinery and equipment.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Works cross-functionally to make repairs within one's capability.
Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas.
Participates in training and personal development; assists in training department personnel and apprentices.
Communicates within the assigned team and with all support teams.
Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.
Knows and complies with departmental, site, and company safety policies and procedures including the proper wear and use of require personal protective
Participates in improvement projects; uses common problem solving techniques while working alone or in teams.
Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
Completes work with minimal supervision.
Rotates job routine as needed.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent AND
Associate's degree with two-four years of relevant experience OR
Trade certificate with six years of relevant experience OR
Eight years of relevant experience OR
Department of Labor certification.
Must pass all related testing.
