Client - Bid Writer / Co-Ordinator|
My client, based in Essex, is an established and award winning Construction company with a turnover in excess of £125 million and over 500 staff. Their core areas of business are new build residential, refurbishment and planned & reactive maintenance within the Social Housing, Commercial, Education and Public sectors. They are currently recruiting for a Bid Writer / Co-Ordinator to be based from their Head Office with some travel to site.
The Role - Bid Writer / Co-Ordinator
Reporting directly to the Bid Manager and dealing primarily with Decent Homes, New Build and Refurbishment projects, the purpose of the role is to assist in responding to pre-qualification questionnaires / OJEU advertisements. The successful candidate would also be required to assist in the bid process for new projects and also to assist in the review process of all pre-qualification questionnaires, tenders, submissions and presentations within deadlines whilst identifying tasks and delegating accordingly. In addition you will also be required to compile documents to the highest standards (hard copy and electronic, working with all formats of files, dwg, mpg) so a high level of IT is required. Assisting the team during the submission period is also a requirement, as is assisting with the monthly team meetings, creating the agendas, disseminating the information as well as the minutes.
The Candidate - Bid Writer / Co-Ordinator
The ideal applicant must be highly motivated and have proven track record of working within Submissions and Proposals. They will have strong knowledge of the Construction industry, preferably within a bid submission team and from either a contracts or professional background. They will also have exceptional communication skills, excellent commercial awareness, with proven ability to cope well under pressure, managing a high volume of work. Ideally you will also hold professional qualifications and / or institute membership and be a long-term team player.
The salary is up to £40k dependant on experience with a competitive package.
