Our client is a provides specialist engineering design, installation and maintenance services to electricity networks and other infrastructure installations. They are currently seeking a Group Proposal Manager to oversee a successful bid team, who can drive internal processes and streamline the function.|
Main purpose of the role:
To support the growth of of our client through the co-ordination and management of Expression of Interests (EOIs), Pre-qualifications (PQQs) and Invitations to Tender (ITTs), along with ownership of OJEU Notices, website enquiries, industry accreditations and client enquiry portals etc. Objective is to have a highly professional and consistent approach to the management and response to Pre-Tender or website / general enquiries that leads to successful Contract Awards.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The role includes:
Line of reporting to Business Development Director.
Compliance with Work Winning Procedure.
Co-ordinate and manage the completion of Technical, SHEQ, Commercial and other relevant information from within the Business Unit and / or wider Group to enable the successful completion of EOIs and PQQs.
Manage Work Winning Team comprising Bid Managers and Bid / Technical Writers, leading by example and including completion of Personal Development Reviews (PDRs).
Ensure completion of high quality response documents within prescribed timescales.
Enthusiasm and drive to extract innovations from those within Operations, SHEQ and other functions for inclusion within responses.
Ensuring successful submission of response documents either uploaded via client portals, by e-mail or hard copies by post.
To be proactive in seeking continuous improvements in the process and software / tools utilised to complete EOI and PQQ response documents.
Ownership of our client website(s) to review enquiries and communicate information to relevant Business Unit Managing Director and Business Development Manager for consideration.
Ownership of Achilles to ensure correct registration of activities against relevant Product and Service Codes, management of enquiries received and communication to relevant Business Unit Managing Director and Business Development Manager for consideration.
Ownership of enquiry portals such as TenderDirect to review enquiries and communicate information to relevant Business Unit Managing Director and Business Development Manager for consideration.
Ownership of industry accreditations working with the Quality Manager (and others) to maintain NERS etc and to secure new accreditations i.e. Link-Up for entry into the Rail sector.
Sharing of best practice across the Group.
From time-to-time assist in the completion of Tender and PQQ response documents.
Compliance with company SHEQ procedures and positive participation and promotion of behavioural safety programme
