About the role

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Application Support Superuser to assist with the ongoing support, management, improvement, development and evaluation of recruitment and payroll based application systems / software for Capita's recruitment hub.

As a Superuser you will take ownership of 1st line enquires and issues and work closely with your Application Management team, ensuring that end users are well equipped to extract the maximum potentially out of the technology on hand.

Key focus will be on building and managing relationships with the users, whilst also collaborating with other external service desk teams and the software suppliers themselves. The software and applications you will be supporting on include (in order of precedence): Peoplefluent RMS/VMS, Tempest SAFE, Fieldglass, Red Rabbit, Avature, Dynamics and Lumesse Talentlink.

In this position we would expect you to develop quickly, getting involved in lots of new and exciting projects, from roll outs, updates, implementing new applications, improvements or additional functionality. In time you would be heading towards a promotion to become an Application Support Consultant.

What you will do:


Provide 1st line support on-site, via telephone, and on email for the application software, tracking and monitoring all work with time recorded within the CRM solution.

Attend all 3rd party supplier demonstrations on enhancements to the software for new releases and interpret the business impact & opportunities

Ensure new functionality is adopted by your account to improve your accounts processes and perception of the system, ensuring new & existing users within the team are trained to use the system to its optimum functionality.

Coordinate and sign off all Change Management ensuring it meets best practise and works alongside the technology roadmap,

Work with the PMO and be responsible for the Project work stream deliverables.

Release management: Responsible for thorough testing of upgrades, update test scripts, understanding new release functionality and the benefits of this to individual accounts and ensure this is communicated and made available to ensure the business are using the technology to its fullest potential.

Your experience will include:


Experience of providing 1st line support to internal or external customers

Strong MS Office Skills

Strong organisational and communication (written and verbal) skills

Able to follow set processes and procedures

Knowledge of any Applicant Tracking system or Vendor Management System ideal.

Understanding of / previous experience within a recruitment / HR function ideal.
