Network Technician/1st Line Support - £8 an hour - Godalming|

NETWORK TECHNICIAN/1ST LINE SUPPORT
Working for an established niche organisation, the business is looking for a Network Technician to join a small busy IT team. This role is responsible for providing frontline support to users and technologies including, but not limited to desktop PC, printers, telephone handsets, mobile phones, Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, and, where relevant, key business applications.
The successful candidate will be part of a team ensuring the smooth running of day to day IT operations supporting approximately 200 head office users and several smaller overseas office as well as users across almost 100 remote locations mainly within Europe. This will be a hands-on technical role with duties including:
Ensure incidents and service requests are logged in helpdesk application and are correctly categorized. Where possible, provide an effective immediate fix and where necessary, escalate incidents to senior support & infrastructure staff and ensure users are kept informed of the status of helpdesk tickets.
Maintain a supply of end user hardware (desktops, telephones and peripherals) and ensure these are in acceptable condition and working.
Physical and software deployment of desktop infrastructure as well as internal office moves including cabling & telecoms.
Ensure that end user hardware in production environment is audited and labelled to aid troubleshooting.
Provide a point of contact to users in our overseas operating offices.
Working knowledge of the following;
Window 7, 8 and 10
Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016
A strong customer service ethic.
A willingness to learn and adapt to changing business and user requirements.
The ability to manage and prioritize your workload and to plan ahead.
The ability to work well within a team
