Job Title: Robot Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 plus overtime, plus benefits.

Location: Staffordshire, Cannock

Industry: Manufacturing

Commutable from: Cannock, Stafford, Penkridge, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Telford, West Bromwich, Birmingham, Tamworth

Hours: Continental style shift pattern, would also look at Double Days.

Hourly rate: £11.30-£15.80 per hour + 10% Shift Allowance for double days or 26% Shift Allowance for contis.

I am looking for a number of experienced Robot Maintenance Engineer to join one of the leading manufacturers in the automotive industry worldwide.


To provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas, carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment on site.

Key tasks;

Renovation and routine maintenance of assembly equipment

Timely response to equipment stoppages

Improvements to assy equipment (kaizen)

Adherence to departmental systems (Pm, recording downtime)

Key performance indicators such as equipment OEE

Skills, Qualifications and Experience necessary

You will need both an electrical qualification and robot experience.

City & Guilds 17th edition regulations

Completed a recognised electrical or mechatronic apprenticeship

HNC / ONC electrical qualifications preferred

Reasonable level of mechanical aptitude including welding, fabrication and mechanical fitting

IT literacy, applications such as, Word, Excel, AutoCAD

Experience with PLC (programmable logic controllers) and HMI's (human machine interface)

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Knowledge of the Mig welding and Spot welding process

Ability to coach others

Experience within an automotive maintenance environment

Working to the latest European Health and safety harmonized standards
