We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their company on a permanent basis.

Duties will include:

Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools.
Carry out diagnosis and correct or replace malfunctioning components.
Understand and read electrical drawings.
Carry out electrical testing on LV & HV motors.
Working on HV cables and systems beneficial but not essential
Be able to carry out LV installations on industrial sites.
Be on a call out roster.
Assist in and carry out mechanical tasks repairs such as valves, pumps, alignments, conveyors, bearing replacements.
May carry out assignments as electrical faults on motors, switchgear, lighting, conveyor systems, actuators, trace heating, earthing, distribution boards and generators, industrial installations, testing, fault finding.
Assist and develop risk assessments and method statements
Work to a high standard and lease with customers in a professional and technical manner.
Be able to work efficiently and individually as well as in a team environment.
When not in field during potential low periods will be expected to work in the workshop and / or assist with office duties such as potential new business, pricing, speaking and arrange scopes with customers.

This position commonly requires work experience in electronic and electrical maintenance with at least an ONC level.
At least three years Apprenticeship trained. At C&G Level 3 minimum.
Affiliated experience of at least five years with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude
Excellent interpersonal and communication ability
Sufficient familiarity with schematic and electrical, diagrams/illustrations
Outstanding acquaintance with safety, health, and environment regulations
Ability to work under stress and ascend stairs and ladders
Possession of good eyesight and ability to interact well with superiors and subordinates.
Must have the aptitude to be proactive and work along at times to a high standard.
Able to use computer software such as word, excel
