My client is part of an international group and one of the largest food manufacturers in Europe. They have been present in the UK for over a decade and sell a range of French bakery products to major UK food retailers, wholesale and food service markets. The company is still family run and has a great culture and history. They also present in Europe, South Korea and USA.

They have a 160,000 NA. technologically advanced production facility to service the UK market in order to continue the strong growth of the company.

This is a great opportunity to join a category leading brand and an exciting stage in the history of the business. Due to the fast expansion of the business, we are looking for professionals to join our team to fulfill and grow into their roles / careers.

We are looking for a "Mechanical Designer" to join our fast growing team and business based in Milton Keynes.

Main tasks:
o You will be responsible for all stages of a product/specifications, from research and development to design and fabrication/manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning.
o Work in conjunction with production, providing timely calculations/designs/drawings.
o Use AUTOCAD - 2D and INVENTOR - 3D for plans, drawing and detailing a wide range of mechanical and electrical parts including layout and system drawings.
o Could be describing metal parts, filtration systems, valve control systems weigh blending equipment electrical cabling all with the intention of ensuring that all fit into the machine and it is all laid out correctly.
o Looking at suppliers required for bought items and giving them part specifications for pricing and assisting with the technical sales quotations
o Writing/editing user requirement specifications
o Writing of reports and documentations.
o Provide technical support and guidance to workshop fabrication teams.
o Liaise with suppliers, production, sales, industry experts, and engineering team to establish correct application for each product.

As a successful Mechanical Designer you need:

o Good UK Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
o Proven track record within 3D CAD Design of electro mechanical machinery
o Understanding of 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD Inventor
o Ability to communicate with customer and interpret requirements
o Problem solving ability, experienced in working under pressure and delivering projects on time and to set budgets
o Master the IT tools within the job

Above and beyond the required skills the individual for this role must have exceptional interpersonal skills, attitude, ability to communicate clearly and to support others in the company at all time is essential.

The role will suit candidates who have worked for a small company and are willing to work in a hands-on varied role.
