My client is part of an international group and one of the largest food manufacturers in Europe. They have been present in the UK for over a decade and sell a range of French bakery products to major UK food retailers, wholesale and food service markets. The company is still family run and has a great culture and history. They also present in Europe, South Korea and USA.
They have a 160,000 sq. ft. technologically advanced production facility to service the UK market in order to continue the strong growth of the company.

The major tasks involved in this job role:
o Developing PPM schedules
o Organising reactive maintenance
o Developing the skill level of the team by organising and leading training sessions for either operators or skilled maintenance staff
o Providing some hands on maintenance cover when required
o To ensure daily and weekly work schedules are prepared and then completed efficiently, with time and resource wastage at an absolute minimum.
o Achieve site Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in respect to equipment performance, reliability and breakdown, maintenance completion and, where applicable, devolved budgetary performance
o Promote and support the company quality & safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement and demonstrating the company values and behaviours
o 70% shop floor and 30% office based
To be successful you will:
o Be an expert in mechanical area
o Have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable when dealing with colleagues at all levels across a range of functions within the business.
o Be experienced working in environment where Continuous Improvement process have been used
o Have Mechanical Maintenance experience within a manufacturing industry - preferably FMCG production
o Hold a Food Hygiene Training (Basic level) either external or in-house equivalent training
o Have good knowledge of Health and Safety
o Have the ability to work individually or as part of a team
o Be able to evidence a strong track record in improving the efficiency of an engineering team (training, upskill) and in driving through continuous improvement projects and behavioural and cultural change.
You must also be a confident communicator and have good influencing skills. You will ideally be highly ambitious and keen to show your talent and value.
You must be able to demonstrate understanding of complex, fast moving, clean environments, whilst having a keen eye for detail and a good experience of preventative maintenance techniques.
Annual Discretionary Bonus - depending on Company / Team / Individual performance
