Their products, sourced from 2,500 suppliers, include electronics, automation and control, test and measurement, electrical and mechanical. They are now recruiting or an experienced Maintenance Engineer who will provide a comprehensive maintenance, breakdown and repair service, at the Corby site.
Your new role
Within this role, you will be accountable for Cradle-to-Grave support and management of Packaging and Conveyor technical issues. You will uphold the principles of Continuous Improvement identifying opportunities for process and equipment improvement. You will work with members of the Facilities team to procure and implement new process improvement equipment from Original Equipment Manufacturers where required. You will also safely oversee and liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal resource: including the allocation of work, preparation of required specifications. Ensuring all work adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies, legislation and other requirements. Communicate updates and changes to all relevant parties and liaise closely with the Operations, Facilities and Projects teams. You will also have responsibility for the coaching, training, mentoring and sharing of experience, and best practice, to others within the department.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll hold a basic health and safety qualification in electrical safety (able to safely isolate electrical machinery) and s strong mechanical background including a recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment. You'll have experience of using Microsoft Office packages, and/or central databases for Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems. You'll be experienced in the operation, fault-finding and repair of basic electronics, industrial electrical applications, pneumatics and hydraulics, motor/gear boxes, drives, conveyors, tools and equipment. You are able to self-manage effectively - planning and prioritising to complete work in a time-pressured environment. You will also exemplify high levels of commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
