Position Description: |
The Engine Management System (EMS) Controls department is responsible for the design & development of the EMS Electronic Control Module (ECU) including the ECU and associated Software functionality, for the full range of Jaguar & Land Rover products.
The role: Lead the full EMS lifecycle development for a model year vehicle variant.
Technically lead a small team (5-6) of engineers delivering the EMS calibration for production.
The role includes requirements capture, calibration development, software testing, validation and simulation of control strategies embedded into the DEMS to production sign off.
This role shall provide excellent exposure to the delivery elements of PCS and building technical knowledge of DEMS OBD.
The role requires building close working relationships within Powertrain, electrical, certification and manufacturing teams.
Lead Calibration management and release processes Knowledge of APQP, PSW and PPAP procedures.
Minimum degree qualification in electronics or software related discipline. Extensive experience in an engine management systems release environment.
Experience leading a small technical team of engineers and delivering products using V development cycle Strong understanding & application of design quality tools (DFMEA, Robustness, 8D).
Good analytical skills & PC literate. Good presentation skills.
Full Driving licence. INCA, MDA, Creta experience.
Knowledge of Diesel engine basic operation and after treatment systems.
