Resource Planning Manager|
Based in Durham , Essex or Suffolk with travel between regions
Grade 14 - Full Time 37 hours
Our client want to be the national leader in water and wastewater services.
They are looking for a Forecasting & Resource Planning Manager to play a major part in taking the operational business forward. You will have responsibility for the planning processes across the water and wastewater network field operations, where having the right people in the right place at the right time is critical to unrivalled customer experience and efficient network maintenance. You will lead a team to forecast work plans and resourcing requirements over a window of one to 24 months. This will cover a range of work of varying complexity and service standards. Your team will provided management information and business intelligence to enable continuous improvement.
Your leadership will influence strategic decisions around workloads and the deployment of field teams across our water and wastewater network. You will engage with senior, regional and area managers to organise field workgroups in a way that achieves unrivalled customer experience and maximises efficient use of resources, right first time every time. Reporting to the Planning & Scheduling Manager you will be a part of the Planning & Scheduling business unit which along with our network operations teams are going through significant transformation. This role is an excellent opportunity to influence that transformation to ensure our planning and scheduling services are world class.
To be successful, you'll need to be able to demonstrate that you have the drive and energy to make our forecasting and resource planning world class and:
Have a demonstrable track record of success in this area
Are an engaging and influential leader that gets the best out of those you work alongside
Have experience of transformational change in a planning arena and an understanding of planning best practice
Have experience and understanding of planning tools/systems would be advantageous as would experience and understanding of scheduling tools/systems.
