My client, a leading developer in the aerospace and defence industries, are looking to add to their department with a Contracts Manager based at their Gloucestershire site.

With innovative engineers, skilled project managers and experienced manufacturing personnel to be found at the heart of the organisation, my client are able to continue to produce and develop products that push the limits of technology and respond to the ever changing demands of the industry.

Contracts Manager Key Responsibilities:

- The submission of tenders and proposals ensuring commercial integrity and compliance to all applicable policies, processes and legislation with specific responsibility for responding to the commercial aspects, including customer terms and conditions and pricing
- Ensuring commercial risk review and management in respect of tenders, proposals and projects
- Lead the negotiation of commercially advantageous terms and conditions for development, production and repair contracts including contract modifications / changes
- Drafting and review of agreements including, but not limited to, LTAs, PIAs, Agency, PDS, Distribution and Collaboration Agreements
- Day-to-day management of contracts, including customer liaison and customer relationship management on contractual matters
- To review and negotiate payment plans and variation of price formulas
- Drafting and negotiation of flow down Contracts to Suppliers
- Provide advice with respect to contractual obligations, liabilities and rights
- Conduct contract reviews in association with other departments
- Arrangement of and attendance at periodic reviews with customers

Contracts Manager Background and Skills:

- Demonstrate commercial experience in terms of drafting, negotiation and management of contracts
- A strong commercial acumen to recognise sales & margin issues & opportunities
- Excellent communicator at all levels - internally & externally
- Leader of people Innovative and self-motivated individual
- Ability to work under pressure, priorities and work to deadlines
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
