We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for a forward looking company based in Solihull for a six months contract.|
Joining this crucial area of the business, youll be accountable for some of our most demanding Projects and Packages of Projects, from initial strategic planning through to implementation, construction and delivery. You'll also motivate and coordinate team members and external suppliers to ensure excellent standards are upheld.
Client liaison and stakeholder engagement will sit at the heart of your role, so youll be confident building excellent working relationships. The Midlands ncpms team are looking to fill the role of Senior Project Manager for Phase 2 of the high profile Perry Barr and Witton Flood Risk Management Scheme. The total scheme value is approximately £30M although phase 1 construction of the downstream works is almost complete. Phase 2 of the project involves constructing a large on-line storage reservoir (1.8M cubic metres)
The company is looking for a PM1 level Project Manager, ideally with experience of EA projects and ways of working and, good contract and procurement knowledge. They are currently in the detailed design phase, preparing documents to submit for planning permission, working closely with the MEICA and FBG teams on the control structure and undertaking delicate landowner negotiations.
Alongside a degree in a relevant field, you'll have solid experience in both contract and project management. You'll hold or be willing to work towards PRINCE2 Practitioner status or equivalent, and you'll be a member of the Institute of Chartered Engineers, Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. You'll need to demonstrate your exceptional track record in delivering complex projects with high risk factors and show us your excellent leadership skills. You'll be a first-class communicator, mentor and skilled negotiator, used to delivering desired outcomes on time and to budget, promoting continuous improvement.
