General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Engineering Support Technician to join our Engineering team. The position provides an opportunity to assist in the development and advancement of cutting-edge equipment and systems that support some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to build and further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technologies. The Engineering Support Technician will primarily build to print assemblies such as CCA's, Cables, Rack and Panel Equipment and other complex electronic assemblies and support the engineering staff as needed. This individual may also be asked to support the planning, build out, calibration, installation and maintenance of the organizations equipment, components, devices and systems. Senior Technicians on our Engineering team may also be asked to assist with developing test specifications and procedures and are sometimes tasked with report preparation and documentation of technical issues.
The Engineering Support Technician position requires an associate degree and a minimum of three years related work experience.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Candidate must have potential to be certified to solder per IPC standards
Candidate shall have good oral and written communication skills
Candidate shall be familiar with basic PC operations for reading email, recording timesheets and accessing drawings online
Candidate shall be able to read assembly drawings, part lists, etc and assemble from such documents.
Candidate must work well in a motivated team environment.
