Our Templecombe based team require a Warehouse Operator to handle the delivery of all requirements to the customer and all other transportation flows. In this role you will assume responsibility, be adaptable and be able to carry out a variety of tasks within the stores and stock control function. You should have knowledge of material stocks, be conversant with receiving, storage and shipping procedures for all types of goods, as well as being PC literate and able to operate with minimal supervision.

Key duties:
  • Checking receipts against suppliers Advice Notes, recording receipt details and advising Procurement/Progress of any anomalies.
  • Logging in and controlled distribution of commercial items.
  • Ensure that receipts of all hazardous materials are given top priority and cleared immediately into their appropriate storage areas.
  • Receive and issue materials for Ministry requirements as related to Bonded Stores.
  • Receive and issue materials as required in the chemical, commercial and hazardous material stores.
  • Assist in routine store checks.
  • Raise documentation associated with any deliveries that do not conform to the order requirements. Ensure that declared priorities receive urgent attention so that delays are minimised.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations are adhered to, and report potential hazards to the Stores/Goods Inwards Manager.
  • Awareness of ITAR/EAR processes.
Skills and experience required:
  • You should have previous experience of general Stores, Warehouse activities.
  • You should be able to identify and carry out actions required with minimal supervision.
  • You will be able to drive a forklift truck – training will be provided if necessary.
  • You will be a good communicator at all levels, with proven influencing skills.
  • PC literate in the use of Microsoft Office Tool set.
  • Experience or understanding of EAR/ITAR compliance.
