OverviewEngineering Lead - Engineered Products is responsible for overseeing the design and detailed engineering of custom engineered equipment related to industrial heating and filtration equipment. He or she supervises the workflow and delegation to Engineers and Designers in executing design activities. Primary Duties Workflow ManagementUse a reliable process to intake work into the function, ensuring all customer requirements, and Company commitments, are understood;Assign design responsibilities to engineers and designer on the Engineered Products team;Manage the flow of design and engineering work through the function, ensuring interim deadlines and completion-date commitments are achieved;Provide weekly project status updates to the Engineering Manager and the Project Contract Management Team. Technical LeadershipReview and interpret technical specifications;Prepare and/or review technical procedures, such as welding procedures;Provide engineering and technical guidance to the Engineered Products team and to other departments;Prepare and / or NA. seal pressure vessel design reports and other required calculations;Ensure the quality, timeliness, and completeness of design packages (vendor document list, design drawings, design reports, welding procedures, and other required technical documentations) meet Company standards and customer requirements;Personally prepare design packages, when needed. Education and QualificationsPost-secondary degree in mechanical engineering with 5-10 years of industrial experience working with custom engineered systems. Practical experience in the oil and gas or energy sector is an asset. Other discipline with related work experience will be NA professional engineer in NA experience in ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1 and IX is required. Experience in Section I, IV, and VIII Div.2 is an NA knowledge in general engineering / manufacturing practices and standards, such as ISO, NA experience in electrical equipment suitable for hazardous locations is an NA design experience is NA with electrical and control system is an asset but not required.
