My client is an asbestos contractor who operates throughout the whole of the UK. They require an asbestos removal supervisor for their regional Bradford office. |
As a removal supervisor your role will entail:
Overseeing all aspects of asbestos removal using your sound knowledge of the asbestos removals industry and all the current regulations (CAR 2012 etc) that go along with it. You will be fully conversant with current wet strip techniques able to write day logs and liaise between their client, customers and HSE inspectors who may arrive on his job on a day to day basis.
This is a growing company and they foresee that the successful post-holder of this role will grow within the company and will eventually be pushing to take the reigns on the contract management side of the business. This will represent a massive career enhancing opportunity.
As a minimum you will be required to have all of the following
1 A full driving licence
2 Current training by a UKATA registered training provider (no in house certificates)
3 Current medical certificate
4 Current face fit test (full face & half mask)
5 A good understanding of their responsibilities under the H&S Act 1974
6 A good understanding of the current CAR 2012 asbestos regulations including the NNLW1 non licensed regulations
Also, although the main bulk of the works are local, their will be times when you will need to assist the business working away from home depending on the work load. As such you must be willing to travel and lodge away from time to time.
