Position: Production Operative

Location: Solihull, Birmingham, West Midlands

Contract rate: £9.96/hour LTD

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7.00am-4.00pm with an early finish on a Fri 7.00am-12.00pm - overtime hours will be available

Contract length: Ongoing contract

The client:

A specialist timber frame manufacturer who design, manufacture and install timber frame, SIP's and oak framed buildings nationwide.

The Role:

Due to an increase in workload, the company are currently seeking a Production Operatives in their busy workshops. Duties will involve constructing bespoke timber features, roof trusses and panels. The majority of work will involve cutting timber to length using a chop saw / cnc saw. For the right candidate an opportunity may be available for a permanent position.

Typical duties will include:
*Cutting, building and assembling timber frame structures - floors, partition walls and roofs
*Storage and warehousing of finished product
*Control of incoming and outgoing goods

Essential qualities:
*Experience of using chop saws / cnc saws
*Good practical and creative skills
*An organised, safe approach to work
*Good quality standards and attention to detail
*The ability to follow technical drawings and plans
*The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
*Flexible approach
*Must be able to work well under pressure and work at pace
*As an Assembler you will be responsible for the assembly of all products from cut component packs and adhering to industry accuracy parameters as requested by the line manager/supervisor.

*Able to read from drawings
*Ability to use hand tools, nailers and measure accurately.
*Previous timber frame experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
