With new technologies from its R&D pipeline, products are commercialised either directly in the UK or through partnerships with its OEM manufacturers globally.
Due to their continuing success and fantastic growth, they are currently investing in their Process Engineering team and have a new opportunity for an ambitious Process Development Engineer
*Degree qualified in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
*Experience in a process, industrial, or manufacturing engineering capacity.
*Knowledge and experience of plant and machine related health & safety / regulatory compliance requirements
*Specific experience and knowledge of converting and/or packaging processes in the medical device industry
*Lean manufacturing or six sigma experience
The Process Development Engineer role:
*Responsible for the optimal technical performance of the manufacturing processes.
*Responsible for establishing and maintaining optimal standard processes within the validated process window delivering process outputs in line with the business objectives set on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
* To deliver continuous improvement on the manufacturing processes delivering improved performance and technical capability from the manufacturing processes enabling significant business improvement and introduction of new products / processes.
*To develop, implement and maintain standard processes delivering process outputs in line with the business objectives set on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
*To Investigate and resolve issues related to the technical performance or the workability of the manufacturing processes closely working with production and quality and following all applicable procedures (change control, CAPA, validation, procedures, training).
*To optimize and deliver continuous improvement on existing manufacturing processes on a technical level and workability in order to meet new or increased requirements and objectives closely working with manufacturing in order to assess and optimize the organizational impact of improvements. Improvements are implemented in a controlled way in close collaboration with manufacturing and quality and all applicable procedures are followed.
*To support R&D with the introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing
