Due to continued growth, the business is actively seeking a Site / Project Engineer to join the team - to take control of the delivery of an advanced thermal treatment project. This role will be based in Chippenham.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a seasoned Site Engineer, familiar with all aspects of design, procurement and delivery of a process engineering project.
Manage the programme of works;
To ensure that all statutory company health and safety requirements and procedures are met and adhered to;
Manage the delivery of Contractors and Site teams;
To administer the contracts in accordance with the company's scope and role;
Ensure positive relationships with internal and external clients;
Keep track of project budgets, ensuring they are beaten and costs are controlled;
Ensure efficiency and effective contract negotiations, on-site works and post contract discussions - and to ensure that records are maintained throughout the project works and delivery;
Manage staff training - and ensure training is up-to-date.
Effective communication of the Company and Project strategy with the project team.
Qualifications and Experience
A solid understanding of multiple construction procedures and the ability to contribute critically and effectively to the process
A good working knowledge of the operation of safe systems of work;
Extensive experience of co-ordinating multiple suppliers on a complex process plant is imperative;
In-depth experience of programming and expediting;
The ability to communicate and develop relationships (internal and external) at all levels;
A fantastic ambassador for the company, representing the company's best interests in dealings with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors;
To be fully aware of costs likely to be incurred as a result of decisions made;
Understanding of contractual obligations and the differing forms of contracts;
Ideally, Degree educated - or an HND or HNC;
Membership of a Professional Body is preferable;
A full UK driving licence is mandatory for this role.
On offer - a salary of up to £50,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
