Senior Estimator - Main Contractor - Housing|
Our client a leading Main Contractor are seeking a senior estimator for their vastly expanding residential division. They have a high profile reputation in the construction market with projects valuing up to £60 million with an annual turnover of £500 million. They are one of the UKs top privately owned businesses and have offices nationwide and are looking for a Senior Estimator to strengthen the team in the Hampshire Office.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator you will be directly responsible for assisting the bid team with the preparation of fully evaluated tenure submissions. These will be primarily focused within the residential & housing sector. You will be preparing tender action plans and bid strategies as well as evaluating tender information for potential contracting opportunities
The successful candidate should have the following experience:
To be considered for the role you will need to have previous experience working at an Intermediate or Senior estimator level. This will ideally be within the house building industry including mixed tenure housing. You will need to have a proven track record of successfully delivering fully prepared tenders through to completion.
Other duties include:
Maintain a Schedule of Rates from supply chain partners, for all developments and associated infrastructure works
Evaluate and compare quotations received
To prepare sub structure cost information for standard house types
Measure various construction elements from drawings
Be fully involved with Risk & Opportunity management
Thoroughly check the final priced estimate
Ensure that the finalized submission document is signed off in accordance with the QA procedures
