Our client, one of the UK's largest and best established main building contractors are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join them on a permanent basis, out of the Bristol office.

Working on projects up to £50 million typically, your roles and responsibilities will include:


- To comply with Company Policies and Procedures
- To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company`s Health & Safety Policy Statement, Manual and Safe Systems of Work
- To support and practice the Company`s Quality Policy and Mission Statement
- To follow the Company`s Equalities Policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group, at a level appropriate to the post

Key Tasks and Activities:

- To manage the in-house team dedicated to the project
- To select and appoint consultants and manage them throughout the process
- To supervise the selection and appointment of advisors acting for the business.
- To supervise the preparation of the D&B price according to the company's UK internal procedures
- To select and appoint consultants for Due Diligence required by the Funders and manage them throughout the process

Process & Negotiation:
- To manage all aspects of the bid process
- To launch, lead and take decision all along the Tender process
- To be the company representative for contracts with the client team
- To organise and supervise the bid submission
- To conduct the negotiation and closing of the contract once the Consortium has reached the preferred bidder status

Reporting and Targets:
- To prepare information relating to the project for the corporate management and the shareholders
- To keep the commercial director informed and to seek his assistance as and when necessary
- To prepare the budget forecast and monitor the expenditures against forecast

- To develop key relations with external partners of the project
- To develop strategic relations with the Clients

To be eligible for this role, candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- be experienced in the bid management field, gained with well known main contractors locally.
- Reside within commutable distance of the Bristol area.
