A very well established engineering company who specialise within the fields of fire and security have approached me to assist them in sourcing a highly skilled electrical supervisor to oversee their contract covering social housing within the Ealing area of London.

Role Overview
• Field based role operating within areas defined by the Company either for one or multiple clients
• Provision of Field Management supervision (including H&S) to an Engineering team, and Sub-Contract labour from time to time, predominantly at social sector or local authority sites
• Accountable for the quality delivery of day-to-day Engineering activities in the field including Major/Minor Work installations, attendance at allocated reactive service calls, planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) works, repairing or reporting faults and effective verbal communications between customers and the HO Administration team

- Client liaison for the staff

Main Purpose
• Provide field management supervision and support to Engineers for designated contracts
• Accountable for ensuring the consistent quality of Engineering service in accordance with contract SLA's and meeting the Quality standards defined by the Company to deliver a first time right service
• Accountable for ensuring achievement of minimum completion rate target set by Contracts Manager and securing additional works to maximise the value of the contract

Responsible for:

- Undertaking Health and Safety checks as required - addressing areas of concern with Engineers or Client and reporting to H&S tem as required
- Daily Quality checks to ensure standards are continuously met,
- Ensuring Engineers manage their stock requirements efficiently in conjunction with the HO Administration team
- Ensuring Engineers operate within parameters of existing systems and procedures and recommend areas for improvement
- Ensuring all site queries and enquiries are responded to and resolved swiftly
- Cascading communications to Engineers as required and ensuring maintenance of proactive communication with the HO Administration team particularly where issues may be encountered (e.g. delays in attending appointments)
- Identifying and proactively addressing development needs and any performance issues within the team
- Recruiting team members as required in conjunction with HR
- Ensuring Engineers complete all administration as required
- Upholding the standards of the Company, personally and team, in every aspect including quality of work, personal performance, appearance and behaviour

• Also required to be a first point of contact for Client representatives on site along with attendance of client meetings
• To work the hours required to complete works which may include participation on a weekend / Bank Holiday rota (if & when required)
• To work in accordance with Company policies in force from time to time including HR, H&S, Fleet, IT, Quality and Finance

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Requirements
• 2382 - Requirements for Electrical Installations, also known as the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
• 2377 - Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing
• 2391 - Electrical Installations (or 2395/4)
• Previous supervisory / management field based role essential
• Knowledge experience of multi-skilled service engineering within particularly Fire Alarms / Systems, Fire Extinguishers and the security industry covering, Door Entry, CCTV, Access Control, Gates & Barriers, previous experience of working in social sector premises an advantage
• Ability to check and manage Fire & Electrical certificates
• Knowledge & experience of Emergency Lighting including certificates
• Strong awareness of relevant H&S requirements for operating in this role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of relevant quality / accreditation standards

Must have and continue to have at all times:
- Have a valid right to work in the UK,
- Hold a valid UK driving licence,
- Successful screening check to NSI Gold standard or as required by the Company.
