A chartered, award winning, well respected, creative and friendly practice based in Chichester are wanting to add a Part 2 Architect Assistant to their growing team. This is a permanent role. Salary negotiable and competitive.
This firm have been in the industry for 30 years and focus on sectors such as residential, commercial, education, master-planning and sustainability across local areas on multi million values. Their clients include housing associations, national house builders and public bodies such as West Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council. They have excellent client relationships and as a result a large number of their projects come from repeat business. To prepare, develop and edit, under the guidance of the nominated architect, drawings, models, images and other documents relating to the design.
To seek to understand the design project
To develop, where required, representations of design options for further discussion by the design team
To record evidence of your professional experience in accordance with the requirements of the RIBA (or equivalent)
To contribute, or otherwise assist, as required by the Project Leader or Group Leader, or nominated Architect
You will have
Evidence of a good design understanding e.g. a good design portfolio
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent, life long learning
Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
Evidence of the ability to understand design decisions taken by others
Ability to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines efficiently and effectively budget
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop & InDesign
