Due to continued business expansion we now seek a Head of Health and Safety to lead our Health & Safety department. You will be accountable to the Managing Director for all matter relating to health, safety and welfare of employees and those affected by the company's operations.

About the Role
•Develop, maintain, communicate and monitor the implementation of good H&S across the company and all its activities.
•Provide research and competent H&S advice and support to all level of the company from boards down to individual employees.
•Engage and promote safety to all levels and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
•Deliver training programmes to employees IE inductions, toolbox talks & safety campaigns.
•Carrying out site audits and inspections across all MGL and on behalf of clients at construction and demolition sites across East Anglia.
•Collate, analyse and report on Health and Safety matters for board, managers, supervisors.
•Carry out accident investigation and analysis through to corrective actions and further prevention.
•Ensuring that risk assessments are carried out for all company activities, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring implementation.

Key Skills and Experience
•Good work ethic.
•Good level of literacy.
•Ability to organise own work.
•Understand relevant legislation and translating into good working practises.
•Team player.
•NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Minimum).
•SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH, MPQD and/ or CITB approved qualifications would be an advantage.
