MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN REQUIRED FOR A 1st OF DECEMBER START - £32K-£35K P/A East London |
This is an exciting opportunity with my client to use some of your mechanical/electronic knowledge or qualifications in maintaining / fault-finding on new process plant machinery.
You will be joining the company when the process plant is no more than 3-4 Months installed on site. With this role there will be autonomy and supervising of other staff involved, plus future potential to grow and progress to a more senior role within the business.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per/annum
Normal Hours of Work: 9am - 5pm Subject to change -(out of hours calls if plant breaks down).
Location: North London
*Completed recognised apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
*Btec Level 3 or equivalent / higher.
*Have experience of using the above to underpin skills.
*Have proven experience in maintaining and servicing similar process equipment. Which involves the following - 440 volts / 3 phase / 100 amp equipment / rotating machinery /piped water systems / valving up to 4Bar / system interlocks / control valving / thermostatic controls and safe control of system MCBs.
*Due to training to be given the role requires to be conversant with programmable logic controller functionality.
*Computer Literate - Able to learn new software programmes including maintenance management upkeep as well as having a working knowledge of word / excel / powerpoint.
*Able to write technical reports.
*Good communication / demonstration skills to show machine operators how to operate process machinery in a safe and logical manner.
*Have a good working knowledge of HSE requirements and standards applicable for the repair,testing and commissioning of serviced equipment.
*Be prepared to travel between other process sites on occasion / with possible training updates for the process plant once per year in France.
