Hours: 39.5 hours per week; Normal working hours are between 8:30am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am - 4.30pm on Fridays
Salary: £28,000 per annum
About the role:
As a Gas Engineer, you will be accountable for completing repair works as directed and for achieving and maintaining high standards of work that ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
You will undertake all gas related repairs and heating installs identified within Acis housing stock and any other properties as instructed in both tenanted and void properties. You will also ensure all work activities are in line with current Approved Codes of Practice, in accordance with Building Regulations and compliant with all Gas Safe procedures.
As a minimum, you will hold a full domestic gas ACS certification and will have a sound working and practical knowledge of Gas Safe Regulations. An oil, solid fuel & renewable certification is highly desirable.
You will have a sound knowledge of property repairs and new build construction along with an understanding of single and three phase electric systems. Experience of completing electrical work within domestic properties along with periodic inspection experience as well as fault finding and repairs to electrical installations and circuits is required.
The ability to use IT systems to ensure the effectiveness of the repairs service and a full UK manual driving licence are also essential requirements.
