We are a leading automotive company consultancy actively seeking a Senior Engineer to join a dynamic and forward thinking team. The main responsibilities will be as follows;


* Lead the NVH attribute for prototype and production vehicle programmes and develop in-house capability.
* NVH target setting & cascading to subsystem targets.
* Coordinate, plan & participate in analysis and test activities to evaluate vehicles, investigate root causes and develop solutions to achieve programme requirements.
* Final vehicle sign off against in-house & client requirements.

You will be expected to liaise with the design, development, project management, prototype and production manufacturing teams, technical partners and suppliers to ensure the designs meet the requirements for timing, performance, manufacturability and cost.

Qualifications and experience:

It is anticipated that you will be an engineer with at least 5 years experience in the automotive industry (or 10 years for the Principal role). You should have an engineering degree and have demonstrable experience working within a team environment.

You will be expected to have a solid understanding of fundamental NVH theory and how to apply this to achieve programme goals. A good working knowledge of whole vehicle design and vehicle sub-systems is essential.

In addition, the following attributes would be advantageous;

o Proven success of delivering full vehicle programmes and demonstrated capability of solving NVH problems.
o Experience of vehicle and powertrain NVH test and development work, ability to interpret test data and provide guidance for design teams.
o Experience of benchmarking vehicles and subjective assessments
o Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external clients.
o Excellent problem solver, capable of thinking "outside the box
