Our client does installations and maintains systems to help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient. They are looking to recruit a Facilities Engineer with ideally an Estimating, Mechanical and Electrical Facilities Management background.
Projects will mainly be tribunal services i.e courts and will be overseeing national contracts of values between £1,000 - £60,000

This role is being offered as Contract, paying up to £25.00 per hour to start immediately in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Quick turnaround on quotations and reviewing of the backlog of quotes
Interface and negotiate with Subcontractors
Administration, acting as point of contact
Develop and maintain change Order Unit estimating matrix and recommend Unit estimating guidelines.
Accurate and timely estimates which include scope, material and labour effort by skilled discipline.
Compare the sales information to delivered information and provide guidance on factors to be used for competitive estimating of future jobs.
Regular review and submission of revised estimates based on approved change request.
Supports sales professionals, bid managers and customers during the technical requirement definition and solution development sales process steps.
Utilizes feedback mechanisms to continually update standards to maintain competitive position and reduction of deviation.
Works with SMEs to develop cost standards for products and services.
Look for opportunities to improve as-is process to increase efficiency, simplicity and margin.

Commercial and project management minded
Travel will be required so therefore you must have a UK driving licence, mileage can be reclaimed.
General criminal checks will be conducted, prior to your employment should you be successful in these roles.
Estimating experience, with emphasis on criticality of detail.
Mechanical and Electrical Facilities Management background would be ideal
Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and foster relationships between various internal customers.
Strong understanding of the Engineering, Delivery and Support organization and key processes
