We are currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to work alongside our existing manufacturing team to support our manufacturing processes and to support the introduction of new and future automated technology. It would suit individuals who have experience of manufacturing processes and techniques or who have recently graduated with an engineering degree and who would like to implement their learning and improve their knowledge of manufacturing environments.

Duties will include:-

- Creation (Interpretation)? of drawings for manufactured items using autocad
- Transfer of new products from design into production
- Design or sourcing of new tooling to meet manufacturing requirements
- Provide accurate costings for manufactured items using MRP system
- Work alongside manufacturing teams to drive operational process improvements
- Introduction of new technologies to support manufacturing techniques and to improve processes
- Support and work with R&D to ensure the effective introduction of new projects to Manufacturing.
- Create programs for CNC machining
- Create and maintain manufacturing methods, procedures and safety in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Use continuous improvement techniques to identify, support and lead improvement projects within manufacturing areas
- Take a lead role in the introduction of Lean manufacturing, including 5S, workstation & documentation design.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology, production engineering best practice and health and safety requirements

Key Competencies and Qualifications:-

- Must have Strong analytical skills including data gathering, manipulation and conclusion drawing
- Proven fault finding skills
- Engineering degree, HNC or above or equivalent proven working experience
