Role: SHE Engineer
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Purpose
To act as the company's lead competent person for health and safety as defined by company policy requirements & OHSAS 1001:2007 /BS EN ISO
To ensure the company complies with current health and safety legislation approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision.
To work proactively with managers to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices across the organization.
Main Duties
To ensure the company's Health and Safety Policy is implemented consistently across the company.
Partner with managers to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness and accountability systems.
Lead deployment of risk assessment process and control plans development.
Lead and participates in various project teams.
Develop and deploy HSE procedures, training, internal and external communications in concert with Company, business and regulatory requirements.
Support incident investigation activities, root cause analysis corrective action identification and closure.
Work closely with leaders to measure and communicate HSE performance.
-Monitor trends and champions injury/illness reduction.
-Implement strategies and tactics for successful management of injury/illness cases and costs reductions.
-Participate in HSE inspections, self-assessments, and audits.
-Present findings to management and prepares applicable reports.
-Track corrective actions to closure.
Required Education/ Experience/ Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Safety, engineering or related field required & 5 years of manufacturing health, safety, and environmental experience
-Technical Diploma degree in Safety, engineering or related field required & 10 years of manufacturing health, safety, and environmental experience
-Master's degree in engineering or related field & 2 or more years of safety supervisory experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Lean Six Sigma training plus certification in safety, health, or environmental field is preferred
Good knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies and best practice.
Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in an Industrial sector environment.
Thorough understanding of HSE regulatory requirements and professional best practices.
OHS policies, procedures and safe working practices
Effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently
Must have good skills in building interpersonal relationships, including high degree of tact, diplomacy and ability to influence and challenge constructively.
SHE Manager will be Basic Salary (18,000 SAR) Overseas Allowance 25%, and Transportation allowance 10% monthly.
