We are most interested in hiring dependable, caring people, who like dealing with the public and helping children, who are truly committed to SAFETY and who understand the importance of following the NA of WorkYou will be driving students to school each school day morning, and driving students home each school day. The time involved can vary depending on the length of the route, weather and traffic conditions, but it usually requires an average of 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. (Please note that some routes could be much shorter, and some could take over 3 hours)Our school bus drivers are not required to work on weekends, evenings or school holidays. While additional work may be available, it is not mandatory.
You do not need professional experience, as we provide full free, friendly training & all our vehicles are automatic
Be safety-minded, courteous, and able to demonstrate an appreciation for the importance of customer service
Must meet the minimum age requirements to hold a school bus drivers license in your province (varies by province).
Be willing & able to successfully complete our training program.
Must have at least three years of driving experience, with at least one year in North America.
Must hold a valid (non-probationary) driver's license for the province you are applying in.
Enjoy driving and working with children.
Must have a very good driving record.(preferably with very few or no demerit points)
Must communicate clearly in English or French (depending on area and school district requirements).
Must undergo & pass Ministry prescribed Medical examination.
Must undergo drug testing, criminal record search, vulnerable sector clearance and other background checks with satisfactory results.
Experience working with children & the public is helpful.
Rate of PayVaries by location, length of route & vehicle type, but is usually favourable when compared to other part-time pay rates. In many locations you can bring your pre-schooler with you on the route. If you enjoy driving & working with children this could be the perfect, secure, part-time job for you.
