Are you a Lead ASD Teacher looking for a new and exciting challenge within a large, modern secondary school? About the roleYou would be the lead SEN teacher for the schools ASD unit. You will work alongside other teacher and LSA's and lead the provision. You will be expected to teach the students as well as manage the other members of staff in the unit, arrange timetables and CPD training. The role has an immediate start date, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate. Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have experience of working in a special needs environment previously or suit a very experienced mainstream teacher with strong knowledge of ASD. The role itself would really suit someone who is looking to take a step up into a leadership role! RequirementsYou must have QTS in the UK. You should be secondary trained and have extensive experience teaching at this level. You must have recent ASD experience whether that be by working in an SEN school or working in a mainstream school with lots of exposure and experience working with children with Autism.
