Job Description:

Position Description The Ink Technician is responsible for estimating, ordering, preparing and dispensing ink to printing presses. The Ink Technician troubleshoots ink color discrepancies and other ink performance issues. The company reserves the right to change shift assignment from time to time as the production needs of the company change. Therefore, your flexibility and availability to work all hours and shifts is essential. The shift for this role will be Sunday to Tuesday Days, 7am to 7pm. Key Responsibilities Ensure materials are ordered, stocked and continually dispensed to the presses in a timely manner To organize ink storage and keep the ink preparation and other areas clean and organized to maintain efficiencies and safe work environment Perform work in a timely and efficient manner to meet production targets Adhere to all company's established procedures and policies with respect to operation, health & safety, and security Qualifications Completion of High School or general education degree (GED) Forklift license Prior print experience and/or ink manufacturing experience Strong mechanical aptitude Basic computer skills Ability to understand mathematical conversions Good communication skills with success working effectively in fast pace team orientated environment Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for long periods Technical and printing courses and/or experience in a production environment would be considered an asset Pollard Banknote offers a challenging, team-oriented environment, competitive compensation, profit sharing program, company pension and opportunities for professional development.
