Thomas Lee Recruitment are currently working with a product manufacturer with a wide range of applications that cover - Medical, Heavy/Light duty and retail market place. With are looking for a commercial manager that is focused on a sales strategy and a sales growth. Working closely with the Managing Director - you will be responsible for helping achieve the companies sales turn over by - Building and Maintaining a High Performance sales department to effectively achieve business objectivesBuild and develop a sales team - competence to deliver year on year sales increase in all sectors. Work closely with the business to achieve sales excellence. Ability to travel as required, estimated to be 50% or more, which will involve overnight stays. This role requires flexibility in line with the needs of the business, and the ability to attend events and trade NA Areas of Responsibility Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct sales personnel toward achievement of corporate sales NA leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when NA competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales NA sales management, pricing strategy, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning. Customer visits to improve relations and sales will be NA effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of sales staff. Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviewsProactively identify changes across our categories, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordinglyPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecastsManage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecastsSupport the Internal Sales Manager - Corporate and Strategic Accounts in the development of key customer relationship managementNegotiate sales agreements with the assistance the Internal Sales Manager and Financial DirectorEstablish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Finance, Operations, Technical, Quality and Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunitiesMaintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategiesAttend company meetings, customer meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate
