Start Date: ASAP
Contract duration: 12 months
Weekly hours: 37 but Some overtime work will need to be covered on an "as required" basis
Hourly rate: £24.73 Ltd (fixed & non-negotiable)
Security Level Required: UK SC Security clearance (can start on Baseline-BPSS with SC in progress which takes approx.1-2 weeks) UK EYES ONLY project with direct access to ITAR controlled material.
A Secondary Explosives Scientist, to work within the Munitions Division, responsible for ensuring all safety requirements are met when carrying the work on the group.

-To ensure the work is carried out according to the business processes, to the highest standards of Health and Safety
-Create plans and reports for the technical engineers
-Undertake technically demanding work and take ownership of areas of projects under the control of the Engineers
-To work and communicate as part of a team
-Assess technology availability, skill availability and achievability of the requirements
-General updating and reporting to the Materials Support Manager
-Minimum of HNC/HND in Science or Engineering
-Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications
-Due to the nature of the team's work the candidate must be enthusiastic, possessing excellent communication skills and be able to work under their own initiative
-Able to demonstrate that you are a team player, committed to continual improvement whilst also showing a willingness to learn quickly
-Any successful candidate would also need to have strong motivational and interpersonal attributes.
