Job Description:

Under the guidance of the Distribution Manager, this position is responsible for planning, prioritizing and executing of the overall day-to- day operations of the Inventory Control, Promo Assembly Production and Returns areas. Manages and supervises the department's unionized employees by effectively communicating, directing and assigning tasks as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Manages the departmental employees' daily activities, communicates instructions clearly, and assigns tasks as required.  Ensures adherence with regulations and compliance programs, policies and procedures related to warehouse safety, good manufacturing practices, and environmental and health and safety.  Have the skill to lead and motivate team and have strong organizational and time management skills.  Able to troubleshoot issues, anticipate problems and make logical decisions; demonstrating the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet challenging timeline commitments.  Ensures present processes are efficient and controlled within the DC.  Responsible for the issuance of labour transfer reports.  Complies with all applicable Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and with Company health and safety policies and procedures.  QUALIFICATIONS:  Education & Experience:  Post-secondary education in Logistics, Distribution and Pharmaceutical.  Knowledge of management and operations. And 5+ years management experience in a supply chain and/or distribution capacity within a packaged goods environment.  Must have working experience with SAP in a Warehouse/Distribution environment.  Must have sound working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and OH&S Act & Regulations.  Skills:  Solid understanding and experience in WMS.  Freight Experience  Effective planning and execution skills  Strong problem solving capabilities with a proven ability to analyze and make recommendations.  Demonstrated ability to be proactive and anticipate to job requirements; takes ownership to resolve issues.  Committed to continuous improvement and the sharing of best practices  Effective planning and execution skills  Strong drive for accuracy, attention to detail and process oriented  Ability to work independently, make decisions where appropriate and meet predetermined and unexpected deadlines  Solid written and verbal skills  Able to deliver clear, concise and consistent messages both up, down and across the organization  Demonstrated commitment to providing timely feedback  Ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others  Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
