Petrofac is recruiting Onshore Mechanical Technician based at the Point of Ayr Terminal
Petrofac's Offshore Engineering & Operations business has been supporting the Eni Operation at Liverpool Bay since early construction and operational start-up. Petrofac provides both operations and maintenance personnel both onshore and offshore in support of the Liverpool Bay Development in the Irish Sea. This includes: the Douglas Platform, Offshore Storage Installation, Point of Ayr Terminal and the Duty Holder contract for the Irish Sea Pioneer (Offshore Support Vessel). The Irish Sea Pioneer (ISP) is a jack-up support vessel located off the North Wales coast in the Irish Sea and supports operations within Liverpool Bay.
We are currently recruiting a staff Onshore Mechanical Technician based at Point of Ayr Terminal. The Mechanical Technician will report into the Maintenance Supervisor for maintenance of required systems. Applicants must live within an hour of the terminal for Emergency Response duties.
Specific duties include:
Candidates must have previous experience in a Mechanical Technician role with exposure to all aspects of maintenance in gas process, chemical/petrochemical industries is desirable. The successful candidate must hold ECITB Maintaining Mechanical Systems of Plant and Equipment - Level 3 (NVQ) or equivalent. Banksman Slinger/ Rigging and Lifting and Abrasive Wheels certificates would be advantageous as would SAP experience.
