As a System Analyst within our Software Quality Assurance group, you will play an integral role in marshaling software through its release process within our company. You will be responsible for assessing software release candidates for compliance with company configuration, security, and documentation standards and guidelines.
Software assignments include web based applications and XenApp, APIs, services, scheduled jobs, and client/server applications deployment majority of which are hosted on Microsoft Windows systems and small pool of applications hosted in Linux environment. You will be assigned application projects by the Software QA Manager or Lead, and you will maintain responsibility for executing and/or coordinating all activities through project completion. The activities include planning, scheduling, reviewing and verifying documents, security testing & certification, application architecture review, application deployment, coordination with other teams (web operations, DBA, network etc), resource acquisition (servers and people from other groups), configuration, build and release in veracious environments. You will keep steady communication with application sponsors, managers and developers and will continuously apprise management of project status. Anticipate interfacing with other IT organizations for the coordination of certification projects; resolving certification related technical issues, and resolving operational issues.

Daily responsibilities include:
Maintaining a controlled test environment
Assessing software release packages for completeness
Ensuring applications comply with infrastructure, security and configuration standards
Working with application managers to determine correct network placement and resolve non-compliance issues
Ordering the necessary systems and network configuration changes to conduct application tests
Deploying and packaging applications into the QA environment
Proactively diagnosing and resolving installation failures
Generating application turnover package for production organization
Profiling application dependencies and identifying possible production environment compatibility issues
Assisting development and infrastructure teams with test tracking and failure analysis
Assisting QA team in generating SCCM and App-V software distribution packages
Tracking outstanding configuration and application issues
Assisting in application security analysis
Collaborate with other interfacing teams for application deployment, troubleshooting
Lead process improvement initiatives across application deployment design, QA, web operations, database management, network, software development and other technology teams
Participates in technical platform and tool reviews to support capacity, scalability, performance, stability and supportability.
Identify and track key metrics.

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):
Bachelors or higher level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
6+ years of experience in Information Technology
3+ year of experience with Microsoft technology stack- Windows 2008/2012/2014 servers, Windows 7, 8.1, 10 OS in a systems engineering capacity
2+ year of experience with XenApp (Citrix)
3+ years of experience in application deployment and release management
Must be able to legally work and remain in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the setup and configuration of web applications on both IIS and Apache
Familiar with the installation, configuration and management of Linux servers
Experience in shell scripting - VBScript, PowerShell, BASH
Experience in manual and automated testing
Experience in configuring Oracle, SQL and other relational databases
Familiar with database principals and SQL language
Experience in Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Services. Experience in Configuration, Build and Release Management in TFS.
Demonstrated use of configuration management and change control
Knowledge of infrastructure and application security principals
Proven problem solving abilities
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate technical ideas in both technical and non-technical terms
Ability to lead and manage critical, highly visible, issues in an urgent manner
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure and dynamic environment
Self-motivated, ability to work with limited guidance
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Citrix Certified Administrator is preferred
MCSE preferred
ITIL experience
Familiar with Software Development Lifecycle and Software Quality Assurance principles
