The open Retirement Administrative Manager position provides the opportunity to join a dynamic team, based in Bechtel's San Francisco headquarters, overseeing global retirement plans around the world.

Primary Responsibilities:

Administration: manage the recordkeeper relationships for Bechtel's US, UK, Canadian and Int'l Staff Retirement Plans. Includes but not limited to, ensuring proper plan administration; handling day-to-day issues; ensuring plan changes are implemented timely and correctly; handling any elevated participant issues; leading participant communications ensuring appropriate messages and timely distribution.

Compliance (for Plans noted above):
  • Maintain all Plan Documents and ancillary documents;
  • Maintain all administrative contracts;
  • Ensure all administrative procedures are in compliance with Plan Documents and administrative contracts;
  • Ensure all governing laws and local regulations are followed by Plans;
  • Ensure all required disclosures comply with the Plan terms and are sent to Plan participants on time;
  • Ensure all required service provider disclosures are received by the Plans on time;
  • Ensure all governmental filings are completed and submitted on time;
  • Ensure all Plan policies are followed; if policy is breached, ensure remedied timely;
  • Ensure all Plan delegations are followed appropriately.

Various other compliance for U.S. Plan:
  • Lead annual non-discrimination testing process;
  • Lead annual data security review of service providers;
  • Work with recordkeeper to file annual Form 5500.
  • Work with the team to gather documents for the annual audit

Assist with various other items such as investment fund changes, plan design changes and various other related activities and act as backup to the Manager of Investments, Global Retirement Plans and VP Global Retirement Plans.

Required skills and experience:

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 5 years' experience in Defined Contribution plan administration/recordkeeping with a plan sponsor, recordkeeper, or industry-related firm
CEBS, RPA, QKA or other relevant designation preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to excel in a fast paced, multi-tasking, deadline driven environment
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external constituencies
Excellent team player.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office softwares.
Grade Level: 25/26: the grade level hired will be commensurate with the professional training and experience of the candidate.
