I am currently working with a leading contractor in the social housing sector who are looking to bring on board a Learning and Development Manager to work out of their offices in North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic vision and tactical execution of the group learning and development strategy which focuses on developing talent, skills, competencies and a culture in-line with the overall groups business strategy.
The role will require a passionate, experienced and motivated individual to develop, lead and direct the companies Learning & Development Academy which targets stakeholders such as: existing members of staff, supply chain members and the wider industry (local residents).
The over-arching strategy must ensure that stakeholders have the opportunity to meet their career aspirations via mandatory training and personal development training whilst enabling the company to:
* Address the skills shortages facing the industry
* Ensure succession planning, retention and appeal at all levels
* Develop loyalty, commitment and the capabilities/skills of our Supply Chain
* Experience in dealing with government funding from various government departments.
