We are working with an Environmental-Friendly client based in the Oxfordshire area that pride themselves on providing bespoke Design and Build Solutions that are highly sustainable and beautifully green.

As the Senior/Lead Designer you will be responsible for the planning, technical problem solving and design for structure, shell and turn-key projects. Working closely with the Design Coordinatorr- and reporting to the Development Manager, as the Lead Designer you will contribute to the delivery of a fully coordinated package of technical drawings, information and specifications for each project.

What does the role require?
:: To liaise between the clients and design team
:: Take responsibility for the architectural design process for scheme proposals, through planning, building regulations and detailing, to on-site construction
:: Supporting the Estimating team in the preparation of tender submissions with mark-up and technical advice
:: Technical problem solving, resolving any engineering, material, detailing and building performance queries
:: Working with the Design Coordinators to provide designs for manufacture and site operations information using appropriate software
:: Providing product and service specifications to support procurement and site activates
:: Materials take off and scheduling including the identification of key lead-times for critical components
:: Ability to manage multiple projects
:: Quality control checking
:: Attending site meeting and liaising with Site to review the process as required

What will you need for the role?
:: Timber Frame knowledge or experience - use of any specialist software
:: Design experience in an architectural practice or property developer environment, specifically in residential design
:: HND/C or Degree in Architectural Technology/Architecture or demonstrated equivalent experience
:: Commercial Awareness
:: Experience training and mentoring junior members of the team
:: Ability to manage multiple projects
:: Project leadership skills and understanding of the principles of good project management
:: Focus on customers and ability to build good relationships
:: In-depth knowledge of UK Planning Rule and Building Regs
:: Thorough knowledge of the CDM Regulations
:: CSCS Health and Safety Card (not essential)
